Tim Horton's@Torbay Road

Okay, so Downrightcranky is the type to actually get out of the car and walk into Tim's to get coffee. A little exercise to work off that Timbit. No needless harmful gas emissions from the car idling. And you would think, with the line up of cars out onto Torbay Road, it would be quicker. Uh, uh. It seems all staff is dedicated to working the drive- thru while counter patrons must stand and wait and wait and wait. In fact, Downrightcranky had to ask if there was anyone actually working at the counter and was greeted with an eye roll (from one of four people on the drive-thru window). So Tim Hortons please note: not only is your staff rude but you are polluting our air for no good reason with all those exhaust fumes.

Totally agree! That Tims from the get go has been devoid of service. I went in one night, had a coffee, and noticed another man waiting 10-15 to get served. Even the manager went for a smoke break and did not offer to serve him. Unbelievable. Service has been terrible there all along.

former Tim's fan

Great idea for a blog. Maybe it will shame the service industry into action.

Thanks!

Question.

What do you do for a living?

I remember that the Tim's in the Avalon Mall used to have some of the slowest service ever. It was never worth going there on your break - you'd spend the while 15 minutes in line while the staff puttered around! On the plus side, I don't remember them being unfriendly!

The drive thru is my nemisis. It is the same thing at the Tim's on Water Street. The cars block traffic. Funny post.

Completely agree. Why do they even bother to have counter service at all? Every Tim Hortons location could be reduced to a small kiosk surrounded by a giant drive thru. Hundreds of cars could line up while listening to public service announcements about reducing green house gases by not idling your engine.

Tim Hortons has broken me down to the point that I am making my own coffee now. I just couldn't bear to be exposed to that level of "customer service" every morning. It was like being in a bad relationship. It was starting to take an emotional toll on me.

Whew... it does feel good.

Love the blog... more venting!

TIMS HAS ANOTHER SERRIOUS ISSUE WITH TRYING TO SERVE BREAKFAST AT A TIME WHEN MOST PEOPLE WANT A COFFE AND A MUFFIN...SO MAYBE A SPECIAL WINDOW FOR THOSE SLOW BREAKFAST LUNCH PEOPLE.
